Both my cousin Becky and my cousin Mike recently had little babies. We are so happy for them. I wish we could have a HUGE family reunion and get everyone together. We were so good about getting together often when we were little. It is so much harder now that we are all so far away from one another.
Madison is doing great these days. She is so sweet and is having a blast. She has a great imagination and loves to make up stories. She plays "mommy" all day with all her baby dolls. They go for walks in the stroller, take naps in the pack and play, play in the swing and exersaucer, go shopping at the grocery store and all kinds of other fun things. Maddie also loves to work with Daddy on making cool things with Legos. They make bathtubs for the babies, towers, castles and lots of other things. She still loves to read and go to the library to pick out new books. She is going to be Cinderella for Halloween -- she even has glass slippers!
Jake is also doing so good. Who knew we could get so lucky with two sweet kiddos. He is just the sweetest, happiest, most content little guy. He smiles all the time. He is just now getting good at grabbing and holding toys. Of course, they go straight into his mouth! He loves playing on his blanket on the floor and trying to roll over (his arm always seems to get in the way). He has just recently started eating rice cereal and oatmeal. He is doing alright, but can't seem to grasp the concept of opening his mouth for the food (we have to make him smile to get the spoon in his mouth). Jake is going to be a Jake-O-Lantern for Halloween.
The weather is getting to be so nice these days. We went and got our pumkins after church yesterday. We also decorated the yard with scarecrows, a witch, our pumkin and some Halloween flags that hang from the trees. I'll have to post a picture soon.
