Happy 4th of July! We have had a busy few weeks. My friend Christina was in town from Alabama with one of her boys (Jayce). Maddie, Jake & I met them at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club pool at the beach last Wednesday to swim. It was pretty crazy managing the two kiddos, but we had fun. Maddie even went down the big, twisty slide there. I was at the bottom of the slide to catch her, but she was so slippery with all the sunscreen that she went straight under water (yikes) – she said it was “not so much fun.” Last Friday Christina, Jayce, Kate, Abby & Evan came over to play and eat pizza.
Yesterday we went over to Ben, Melanie & Ruthie’s nw house for a 4th of July cookout. Their new house is so beautiful (makes me want to move)! The kids played in the little pool and did some fireworks. Here are some pictures (thanks to Melanie – my camera is broken). Check out Maddie’s fabulous new smile :-)
