Flag Raising and Awards

Today was the last Monday morning flag raising at Maddie's school. They had a special recognition for all of the teachers who are retiring. One of them is Mrs. Green, and aid in Madison's class. The kids made a book for her, "Mrs. Green's Friends," and they held a sign for her at the flag raising -- it was so sweet. After flag raising there was an awards ceremony. Maddie got an award in PE and a reading award (they got to have a popcorn party for that one). It is going to be a crazy week. They have a water party tomorrow, a going away party for Mr. Due (their principal is going to a new school next year) on Wed and Thurs is the last day. What a year!
