Our second week...

Well we are into our second week with our expanded family and things are going suprisingly well! We are all having lots of fun having Jake around. He has been a great sleeper so far at night. Usually he takes a bath and eats around 6:30/7:00 and goes to bed. He has been getting up around 12:00 and then again around 5:00 and back down unitl about 9:00 am. We feel very lucky and hope he keeps it up. So far he has been eating during the night and going back down to sleep easily. He is having a little trouble with gas, but that seems to be getting better with the gas drops. He seems to like to gulp air!

He goes to the doctor on Friday at 1:15. He is going to get his first shots and also get his tongue clipped. Hopefully that will help him eat better and not get as much gas. They say it is pretty painless when they are under one month old and usually doesn't even bleed. This was the reason he was unable to nurse in the hospital and it could also cause him to lisp when he learns to talk.

We are having so much fun having Sam home with us. It will be sad when he goes back to work next week.
