Jake's CT Scan

Jake had his CT Scan this morning. Sam woke him up to feed him at 2:30 am, since that would be the latest he could eat before being sedated. He was such a trooper all morning, even though he was probably starving. We registered and checked in then they took his blood pressure, checked his oxygen and heart rate.
He had an oxygen and heart rate monitor connected to his toe which made his foot glow!

We waiting until the technicians were ready (which was about 10:30 rather than 9:30 as planned) then Jake drank his sleepy drugs. Once he fell asleep, he got to ride in a little boat to the scan room.
They have the floors painted blue with fish and aligators on them to look like the St. Johns River and all the walls are painted the buildings in Jacksonville. It looks like he is taking a boat through the city to get his scan (the elevators are right by the painting of the Wolfson Children's Hospital building).

It was so weird to see his little body in that big machine.

He did great and woke up about an hour later.

Once he had his bottle (which he was very happy to get), we got to go home. Maddie loved getting to see all the pictures. We wanted to capture it all on film, in the hopes that it would be the only time we have to go there! We should get the results back tomorrow. We'll keep you posted. Thanks for all your prayers!
