Yesterday was a pretty rough day for the kiddos. We heard from Jake's doctor and from the X-Ray it looks like the sutures might be fused so he requested a CT Scan to get a better look. They said they want to check to make sure the sucture lines in the back of his head haven't fused together. They need to stay open to allow for his brain to grow and his head to develop properly. His CT Scan is scheduled for Monday morning at Wolfson's (apparently Dr. Colyer wanted to do it right away). He can't eat anything past 3:00 am (so I will wake him to give him a bottle). He can have water or Pedialite up until 7:00 am. He will be sedated at 9:00 am (when we first arrive) and will have the scan at 10:00. We need to call Dr. Colyer the next day so he can call to get the results back as soon as possible. If they have fused together Jake would need surgery. They said not to worry because 9 out of 10 times it turns out to be fine. If anyone can handle it, Jake can. He is such a happy baby and such a trooper!
Maddie is having a pretty hard time adjusting to school. She is just a little shy and I think all of the kids and activities are intimidating. Like we say, she is an old soul and doesn't quite relate to those silly kids:) She keeps asking me when she can be a mommy like me. She is so sweet and I know she will adjust fine. It will just take some time.
We are keeping these little guys in our prayers:)
